Arodamos means “the gentle nature of the branch.”
In one of the most picturesque villages of Crete, Anogia, lies the tavern Arodamos. A large hall, with openings to the beautiful view, offers warmth to the guests during the winter months, while on warmer days the people are welcome to sit outdoors on tables with umbrellas. The specialties of the tavern are the genuine Cretan flavors from Anogia. The traditionally cooked “ofto” meat, spaghetti with “anthotyro”, “anevates” pies, but also “sarikopites”, “mizithropites” and “kalitsounia”, are included in the menu of Arodamos. Music evenings are often organized, with lyre and songs. The tavern is located in a panoramic viewpoint of Anogia, 36 km from Heraklion, 55 km from Rethymno, and 113 from Chania.
